Divorce (dissolution of marriage) matters are handled by the domestic relations division of the Cook County Circuit Court. Records pertaining to this case type are public information, viewable at the Clerk of the Circuit Court's Office in person and via mail record search requests.

Individuals may also obtain online docket information about divorce records by utilizing the Clerk of the Circuit Court's online case search portal. Portal users will need to choose the "Civil, Law, Chancery, and Domestic Relations/Child Support Search," and on the next page, select "Domestic Relations/Child Support" from the "Select a Division" drop-down menu to conduct a search by case number or party name.
